USDA Certified Biobased Products Showcased at the Advanced Biofuels Leadership Conference

USDA Certified Biobased Products are taking center stage at the Advanced Biofuels Leadership Conference (ABLC) 2016 - the largest gathering of advanced bioeconomy senior leadership that kicked off this Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

The USDA BioPreferred Program is a strategic partner at this year's conference, and products that have earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product label will be featured prominently at ABLC's innovative NEXTStore showcase – a transformative retail "store of the future" stocked with biobased products and packaging.

Products that earn the USDA Certified Biobased Product label must meet a minimum biobased content standard set by USDA. As part of the certification process, manufacturers must test the biobased content of their products at an independent, third party laboratory. As of December 2015, USDA has certified 2,500 biobased products in more than 100 product categories.
